Stanislav Tsanev, known in artistic circles as Sunny Canev, is a professional tattoo artist, painter and digital artist with over 15 years of experience in tattooing and visual art. Sunny is also the studio’s specialist in covering up old tattoos, turning worn or unwanted pieces into new, stylish works of art.

Born and raised in Sofia, Stanislav completed his art education in Bulgaria, then turned his passion for drawing and his interest in the human body into a career. Since 2009 he has devoted himself professionally to tattooing, developing over the years his own signature style that combines classical artistic training with modern tattoo techniques.

His career took him beyond Bulgaria, working and developing his practice in England, Denmark and Germany, including Hamburg. This international experience allows him to work with clients from different cultures and to build an approach in which every tattoo is an individual work of art rather than a simple design.

Over the years Stanislav has worked in a wide range of styles — from realism, black & grey and neo traditional to Japanese art, surrealism, graphic and original compositions. His formal art education and experience as a painter allow him to approach a tattoo as a complete composition, tailored to the body and to the client’s story.

For Stanislav a tattoo is not merely decorative. It is a form of art that a person carries with them.

This philosophy is exactly what stands behind Tattoo High Art — an artistic concept uniting tattooing, painting, digital art, design and culture. The studio has been operating since 2016 and positions itself as a space where a client’s individual idea becomes a personal work of art.

Beyond his work as an artist, Stanislav has also grown as a mentor and organiser, working alongside other tattoo artists and building a team of professionals. The experience gathered over the years allows him not only to create his own art, but also to pass his knowledge on to the next generation of artists.

Today Sunny Canev continues to develop his work across tattooing, painting and digital art, constantly experimenting with new techniques, visual languages and concepts. His goal is simple: to turn every idea into a work of art with its own character, story and place.
